This is my custom built video editing/gaming computer.  The video editing software installed is among the finest of Avid's prosumer line, Avid Xpress DV.  My computer's specs are as follows:

-  40 gb Seagate Barracuda-IV (system drive)

-  120 gb WD Caviar "Spec. Ed." 7200 rpm (media drive)

-  Lite-On 32x CDRW drive, Compaq 40x CDROM drive

 

Display/Video I/O:

-  Nvidia GeForce4 MX 64mb AGP card, driving primary monitor, 19" Viewsonic G90f (flat)

-  Nvidia Geforce2 MX200 32mb PCI card, driving secondary monitor, 17" Viewsonic A90f (flat)

-  Sony PVM-20 20" professional video monitor

-  Sony DVMC-DA2 Media Converter (converts firewire DV to analog and vice versa)

-  Vidicraft 4x4 pro switcher matrix (functions as a four source/destination A/V router)

-  Custom-built monitor bridge that allows use of desk space under monitors, as well as a more comfortable monitor-viewing angle
